Newlywed Adventure!

As many of you already know, Ryan and I are getting married! We've spent a long time trying to decide how we want to pull off our big day.... and ultimately we decided that we are going to forgo the traditional wedding and ELOPE!

Well... we are SORT OF eloping.... we are actually having a small ceremony at Santa Barbara courthouse with no reception (possible after party in the works).... no official invites are being sent (save the trees!) but if you would like to be there we would love to have you!  We are going a step further and breaking ALL the wedding rules by turning our honeymoon into a three month long journey traveling through Europe!  I know, you think we're crazy ... but we've decided this is the best time in our lives for an epic adventure and we aren't willing to pass it up.

The next couple months are going to be a whirlwind of emotion and excitement!

Although Ryan and I will be happily married soon, our lives will be changing drastically. We are quitting our current jobs... which will be very difficult for us both since we've made some really great friends and hate to leave our work families behind ( you will all be missed!!). We also have to purge all my worldly belongings to a meager amount that can fit in my car .... then make the long drive from Oklahoma to California. These are some big life changes but we couldn't be more excited to be able to do them together!

For your viewing pleasure, here is our tentative epic adventure schedule:

Week of July 10th: Ryan and Nicole quit their jobs!
Week of July 15th: Road-trip Moving Nicole from Oklahoma to California
July 23rd: Ryan and Nicole get married!
Our wedding is just going to be a simple courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara, CA.

August 8th: Late night departure for Madrid, Spain
August 10th: Arrive in Madrid, Spain
August 10th- November 10th: EPIC EUROTRIP ADVENTURE!

Unfortunately we cannot provide a sample itinerary for the three months after August 10th since we are not planning our trip at all and are completely WINGING IT! =)

Anyways, we feel so lucky to have such wonderful family & friends who are able to celebrate with us in SPIRIT! Thank you all for being part of our lives =) We've created this blog as a way to keep in touch with family and friends and share our adventure!
