From the West to the North

Let me start by saying that we've been having some serious phone and internet issues during our road trip through Ireland. We're not sure if it is the new CHEAP phone we had to get or if it is just roaming issues but we have been having to rely on the WiFi available at the Airbnb places we've been staying at..... unfortunately almost all of these places have terrible WiFi.... except this one! Yay!

As I write this Ryan and I are sitting on a couch in a typical Irish home (situated on the tip of a peninsula in the most northern part of the Republic of Ireland) enjoying the company of an older Irish couple .....sharing stories of our travels and learning the history of Ireland..... our life is so surreal right now.

Driving on the left has become ALMOST normal to me now.... there has been one episode of an accidental wrong side of the road driving.... but that was most definitely Ryan's fault.... he literally yelled "TURN RIGHT NOW!!"... so I did... and it was right on to the wrong side of the road. Luckily no one was coming down that way. I don't listen to him anymore.

Anyways....the last few days we stayed in another small town to take a break from the road and relax a bit. We even went out on a 'date' and saw a movie in a theater.  During our travels we've seen a lot of cool castles, abbeys, cliffs, coasts, and hikes... here are some of our pictures.

The first few photos were actually taken just a few hours ago about 5 minutes from where we are staying.... if the sky was clear tonight there would have been a good chance to see the Northern Lights... but I guess we will have to wait for Iceland to see those.

Side note: Our new phone doesn't take the greatest photos.... and for some reason when we take selfies the phone likes to go into "beauty mode".... apparently when it recognizes Ryan it thinks he would be more beautiful as a demon......
