Waterfalls, rain, and planes... oh my!

Even though today was raining we were still able to get out and enjoy some awesome sites in the south western part of Iceland!

For our trip I created a little map showing some points of interest we might want to check out. Unfortunately I didn't put if these certain points of interest would be open this time of year.... so when we went to go check out a turf house thing in Keldur and found that it was close for the winter I had to hear about it from the Osinski brothers. But at least we got to meet this cow....

And we got to see more of the amazing Icelandic scenery....

Here is our map...we're using it as a rough guide of what to see. But we have also been stopping any time we see a bunch of other tourists stopped (which was a good thing on the Golden Circle since I apparently missed some key places).

This was a REALLY cool waterfall hidden behind some rocks.... we decided to go in a take a look.

I wish this was a picture of us.... but it's still an awesome picture

It was a bit wet inside but it was totally worth it. We got up onto the rock to take the most EPIC selfie ever with our GoPro but right after turning the dang thing on it DIES!!! So we had to take the picture with our phone which doesn't fall into most epic selfie ever category... but you get the idea.
Almost most epic selfie ever.
If you can't escape the rain... wear waterproof clothes! =P
Our last destination for the day was to the Sólheimasandur Plane Crash.... my map was off by a couple hundred meters for the entrance point but since we have been stopping anywhere we see a bunch of other cars stopped we didn't have a problem finding it.

When we began walking this was all we could see..... a massive wall of fog.

We didn't realize that the walk to the plane crash was 4km until I looked it up after 30 minutes of walking....

We can finally see it in the distance!

Hope you enjoyed!
